Frequently Asked Questions
What % of money goes to the charity?
100% of campaign profits are used to fund projects and advocate the needs of our charity-partners.
Is my purchase tax-deductible?
GLBAL is a for-profit company that works to develop fundraising campaigns on behalf of non-profit organizations that we have vetted and found transparent and trustworthy with their finances and practices. Purchases made through GLBAL will be helping to fund the organization’s projects, however are not tax-deductible. Additional donations made directly to the charity-partners are however tax-deductible, and we highly encourage your ongoing support.
Wouldn’t I have a greater impact by just donating money to the charity directly, rather than buying GLBAL products?
Great question! We highly encourage you to donate directly to our charity-partners, but we also believe in raising a community of activists that will use their voices, time, platforms, influence, and even fashion, to inspire other people to engage in social justice. Our products are designed to equip you with those resources.
Is GLBAL a Christian Organization?
GLBAL is a cause-focused brand bringing the world together through film, photography, storytelling, and travel-inspired merchandise. Founded by brothers, Jeremy, Justin, and Jordan Willet, the motivation behind this company is inspired by their faith and God’s love for all people, especially the “least of these”, however the company’s partnerships are not limited to just religiously-affiliated organizations.
Why was GLBAL started?
Following a trip to a remote village in Ethiopia in 2007, brothers Jeremy, Justin and Jordan Willet dedicated their lives and careers to being a voice for the poor. For 10 years, this was mainly accomplished through full-time touring in the band, Willet, using music as a platform to find sponsors for over 2500 children, and to fund 1 Million Meals for school feeding programs around the world. After traveling to Ethiopia, Mozambique, Kenya, Zambia, Senegal, Uganda, Nicaragua, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico, Brazil, India, Guatamala, and other developing countries, the brothers were constantly burdened by the urgent needs they encountered and understood their role to communicate these needs back to people that could do something about it. Hunger, disease, and trafficking were no longer buzzwords – they were human conditions of people that the brothers now had a relationship with, and silence was not an option. Determined to bring the world together, Jeremy, Justin, and Jordan Willet set out to produce high-quality products inspired by their global travel that would tell the story of individuals, families, and communities that were not letting poverty, in any form, define their identity. GLBAL was birthed in 2017 in Westminster, MD with its pilot campaign to fund a night-care center in Cambodia for women enslaved in sex-trafficking.
Why did you remove the “O” in Global?
Although we may not be the best at spelling, the “O” was removed on purpose. We believe in making the world a smaller place by connecting you, the consumer with organizations from around the globe. The “O” has been intentionally removed to symbolize our mentality of bringing the world closer together.
